Panama GPS Map App Reviews

Used it for a few days, multiple bugs, cannot locate me, have to relaunch it again and again... now, i have a black screen what ever I do... No funciona !!!!!!

I am very sorry to say this, but the App is 100% useless. I have installed it on an iphone 4 and on an ipad. On both devices the app is so slow, that it is busy with recalculating the route, that you never ever get any usefull hint in wich direction to drive. Also it crashes every 5 minutes. Finally you can not navigate to any adress, only to preinstalled places of interest, hotels or cities. The calculated distance simply is the direct air-line-distance, no street distance or time to target. Also you can not display the target nor the route, so you have no idea where the software will bring you. Please give me back my money.

App stopped often working, blackscreens. But when it was working it was a big help while travelling.

It just crashes on startup.

I am in Pamama on vacation and borrowing a car and thought that this app would be prefect because it uses no Data. here are the following issues with the app 1) it can not tell one way streets 2) it told me to turn off a bridge 3) it tells you to go down roads that do not exist 4) its distances are not accurate 5) no road names 6) missing many streets 7) crashes and you loose your route and have to restart the app 8) it can not get you to your destination 9) distance to turn goes up and down sporadically 10) one location "Santa Catalina" shows it is on the wrong coast line some one may get hurt or die from the use of this app.

Spending 10$ for this application is way too much. I purchased it for a 2 weeks trip to the Decameron hotel in Panama. Around the hotel, there were restaurants and places not indicated in this application. Those places were present in google maps. The application is also very slow. I guess it could be useful for someone staying in Panama for long periods.

Very few Points Of Interest that can be searched and therefore navigated to. Not many of the main stores that I use in Panama City seem to be in the database and few of the towns in the central provinces or Pacific beaches area where I live. It shows me where I am but has little information and few names of the places I am passing as landmarks. Cant recommend it, wish I could.

We wanted a GPS app to help us in Panama, and at $9.99 this was the only choice. Its way too much considering how flawed the app is. In Coronado, it did not list ANY fuel (gasoline) locations. In fact most of the gas stations are not listed. Not good if you are on a long trip and need to plan ahead. Worst of all, the map does not show any place names. So you approach a habited area, but you dont know what it is called. So you have to use another map to find out. How lame is that. To be fair the app did help us navigate out of Panama City when we took a wrong turn having just picked up our rental car.

Not to much to choose from for Panama but this ap seems to be put together by a bunch of armatures. Dont waste your money.

I have an Ipad 3 and a Iphone 4 (system 5) and this app is crashing almost immediately. The database of places is terrible. The interface is the worst I have seen. The app just count on the fact that no other maps were availabkle for the region.

DONT WORK NOTHING.... YOU DO NOT NEED TO NOTHING .. EVERY NOW AND THEN MAKE SOME UPDATE ONLY DO NOT SEE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS PAST... DONT BUY THIS.

This is by far the worst app in the appstore. I am surprised Apple ever approved this app and allowed it be available in the appstore. I dont believe it was ever tested by anyone. First the app takes several minutes (Yes, I mean minutes) to open up. The interface is incomplete. I just tried to use this on trip to Panama. You will think a GPS is supposed to help you navigate to where you are going. This is so slow the current position on the map is the place you passed about 2 minutes ago. There is no option to input a town or place, so you have to select from their list, and it is so incomplete its pathetic. I can go on forever, but I got suckered for $20 for this, dont say no one told you.....

Please take some time a rewrite this application because this has been the worst 20 bucks I have spent! I flew over to panama to use this application so that I can navigate myself around and all it did was get me lost. Gps doesnt work nothing works and everything is outdated. BUYERS BEWARE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS GARBAGE APPLICATION.

Thank god I found this app.. I am on a trip to Panama and couldnt find any other good offline maps for it.. I would prefer not to buy a dedicated GPS device as I have my iPhone. I am on roaming so I prefer the maps that stay inside my iPhone and not use 3G. This one has all that I need. I saw some issues with other users but I guess I have downloaded the latest update which is working for me just right. However if there was an option to use the units in miles, it would be a winner.. Still..a good app to use though..

Been using the latest version. App seems solid on my iPhone 4, new features are nice to use and updated map data is always welcome! Keep the updates coming...

Running latest OS 4.32 - prior version worked somewhat for iPhone (in Panama City and it could usually find where I was but the directions did not work). Had to manually set location to "on" in the iPad settings for location to work. I will try the directions function tomorrow of the latest version.

I tried using this a few times in Panama City. The maps are missing a lot of the street names. The directions dont automatically update, let alone speak to you. The app takes a while to start up. After it locates you, the screen is full of loaded maps, but God help you if you want to look anywhere else. Attempting to drag the screen results in a huge delay before any response, and then the map takes a long time to access the new data (you just see the black-and-grey "maps loading here" checkerboard for a while). The only reason this got more than one star is that it did SOMETHING — it actually would locate me pretty quickly. iPhone 3gs running 4.3.2.

Do not buy this app. Is not helpful. Is overpriced.

This app is horrible. It takes forever to startup, the map is not responsive, and it wouldnt even locate my position in panama. This is by far the worst $$ I have spent in the app store. JUNK! I want my money back!
